Dick Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney wants the government of Iceland to stop its Wikileaks support. Iceland passed its “law on press freedom and protection” in June. These laws are thought to be the world’s strongest dealing with press and whistle-blower protection.
Liz wants U.S. President Barack Obama to put his pressure on the Icelandic government to stop supporting Wikileaks. Liz wants to see President Obama take the initiative and ask the Government of Iceland to close the Wikileaks site and if the Icelandic government does not want to close it, then he should take the lead and close it himself.
“Our Government should make sure that Mr. Assange, Wikileaks founder and spokesman, never gets a U.S. Visa – He has blood on his hands” Liz Cheney said.
She didn’t stop there. She went on to say: “What he’s done is very clearly aiding and abetting al Qaeda. And as I said, he may very well be responsible for the deaths of American soldiers in Afghanistan,” she concluded.
She made these remarks while being interviewed on the Chris Wallace talk show on Fox News last night. Liz Cheney has been very active in working for the Republican Party in the U.S. and works at the Interior ministry. Her father, Dick Cheney, was a strong advocate for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq while serving as vice president under George W. Bush.
Last week Wikileaks unveiled tens of thousands of pages showing confidential information related to the war in Afghanistan showing that the war appears to be going worse than previously thought. In her interview Cheney said that this was an attempt by the Wikileaks founder to change the U.S. Policy towards the war in Afghanistan.
IceNews was not able to get any comments on this news from the Icelandic Prime Minister’s office or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs due to a national holiday in Iceland.

Stand strong, Iceland. The world needs you, and Wikileaks.
Dick Cheney was too much of a coward to serve his own country, lying his way out of military service in Vietnam.
Yet he did not hesitate to send 100.000’s of US troops into very questionable wars.
It is very sad that people like this have so much power in the world.
Liz Cheney shows the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her father is a fascist, and so is she.

He can close wikileaks.org because .org is adminsitered from USA even though Afilias that does run this registry of .org is in Ireland, they do have US office near Philadelphia, US and ICANN that does control .com .org .net is based in US.
But US government cannot kill wikileaks.is because it is a country level domain controlled by Icelandic ISNIC. And we do maintain own copy of this K root servers in Iceland.

As an American who fell in love with Iceland on a trip last year, I applaud WikiLeaks and Icelands strong freedom of press protections. The problem with my country, is that an electorate cannot make informed descisions without the information. So please keep doing what you do. Our leaders are wrong to keep us in the dark and if they won’t tell us what’s going on… some one has to. And I thank Iceland for it.
Anyone called ‘cheney’ should be treated with the contempt they deserve! Not content with promoting illegal wars, they continue to try and silence those who point out their lies…And ‘D**khead’ cheney has more blood on his hands than almost anyone else!
This actually could be a blessing in disguise. Iceland should invite the US the surrender, the US takes over Iceland, takes care of the dept we then get our indipendent and everybody is happy? We would steel the The Mouse That Roared plot (Peter Sellers).
“President Obama should take Wikileaks on directly with or without the help of the Icelandic government” – Is she suggesting that the USA Invates Iceland?
Stand strong Nordic brothers and sisters, some of us in the states still believe in a free press.
