Thorsteinn M. Jonsson, Executive Chairman of Vifilfell, the Coca Cola bottling company in Iceland, was yesterday elected Chairman of Glitnir Bank.
At the bank’s shareholders’ meeting in Reykjavik, five new members were also elected to the Glitnir Board of Directors as well as seven alternate members. The news of the appointment comes as Larus Welding replaces Bjarni Armannsson as CEO of Glitnir after 10 years working at the Nordic bank.
