Integrated property and security services leader, Orbis, has won a three-year contract estimated to be worth £250,000 to manage the void properties of Tristar Homes, the arm’s-length management organisation of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
The contractor is to secure empty properties and to monitor vacant housing that is adjacent to tenants.
Steve Boyd, Managing Director at Tristar, said: “The priority is to benefit customers by turning often uninhabitable properties into much improved homes quickly. Orbis was selected because it shows commitment to providing a fast, efficient and cost-effective service.”
Brian Leech, the General Manager for Orbis in the north east, said: “We are pleased to be working with Tristar and its tenants to ensure a successful partnering arrangement. Tenants find it very reassuring to know that adjacent empty property is being looked after.”
