Spike Edney – Keyboard / Guitar
In addition to being legendary rock band Queen’s musical director and keyboard player since 1984, British multi-instrumentalist Spike Edney has toured, recorded and performed with a host of famous bands including The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, The Boomtown Rats and Dexy’s Midnight Runners.
Spike commenced his 22 year career with Queen in the 1980’s, joining them for two world tours as well as classic performances at “Live Aid”, “Rock in Rio” and “Live at Wembley”. Since then Spike has continued to perform and record with both Brian May and Roger Taylor on their solo projects.
In 1987 Spike founded the band The Cross with Roger Taylor, where he co-produced three albums, and in 1992 he joined The Brian May Band for the “Back to the Light” tour followed by the “Another World” tour in 1997. More recently, Spike joined Queen for their 2005/2006 international tour with Paul Rodgers.
In between Queen and his SAS Band (Spike’s All-Star Band) commitments, Spike has also recorded, toured and/or performed with artists such as: Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, The Manic Street Preachers, David Bowie, George Michael, Beyoncé, Anastacia, Elton John, Bono & The Edge, Annie Lennox, Peter Gabriel, Lisa Stansfield, Axl Rose, Joe Cocker, Lulu, The Beautiful South and Luciano Pavarotti.
Spike’s other work as Musical Director has included such landmark concerts as “The Freddie Mercury Memorial Concert” and performances at the “Unesco Concert for Iraq” and the “Party at the Palace” concert for the Queen’s Jubilee at Buckingham Palace
Alan White – Drummer
One of the greatest rock drummers of all time, Alan has over forty years of performance experience with numerous rock legends, as well as appearing on over fifty albums.
Alan joined John Lennon‘s ‘Plastic Ono Band’ in 1969 and worked on the album ‘Live Peace in Toronto’, the single ‘Instant Karma’ and the subsequent landmark album ‘Imagine’. George Harrison then asked Alan to perform on the album ‘All Things Must Pass’, including the hit single, ‘My Sweet Lord’, released in 1970.
In 1972 Alan joined Yes on their opening US tour and for more than thirty years, Alan has been an integral part of the band, having played on every Yes studio and live album recorded.
Alan has written a large part of Yes’ music; from the chord sequences for the beautiful ‘Turn of the Century’, from the album ‘Going for the One’ (1977), to many of the themes on Tormato (1978) and Drama (1980), to the hypnotic opening to ‘Mind Drive’, from ‘Keys to Ascension 2’ (1997).
Alan has also worked with MerKaBa, a Seattle-based spiritual music band and has performed live on many occasions as well as providing songs and performances on studio releases. In 2005, Alan formed a new band White with three MerKaba bandmates and released their debut self-titled album in 2006.
Jamie Moses – Guitar
Brought up in the US and self-taught from the age of ten, Jamie was playing on US Air Force bases and local TV and radio shows by the age of 13. He is now one of Britain’s busiest free-lance guitarists.
Since 1993 Jamie has been playing second guitar for Brian May & Queen as well as handling guitar duties for Mike & the Mechanics. He is also ‘house guitarist‘ for all the ‘46664 Nelson Mandela‘ shows.
Since 2005 Jamie has spent most of his time as Brian May´s right hand man in the ‘Queen + Paul Rodgers World Tour’.
Jamie has also collaborated with The Pretenders, Bob Geldof, Paul Young and Zucchero.
Jonsi – Singer
Jonsi is one of the most famous rock / pop singers on the Icelandic music scene. As well as solo performances, he is the front man, songwriter and lyricist in ’I Svortum Fotum’, one of Iceland’s most successful pop bands.
For the past two years Jonsi has performed and recorded with many leading Icelandic artists, as well as playing the lead male role in the musical Grease which became one of Iceland’s biggest theatre blockbusters.
Jonsi has also represented Iceland in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest.
Omar Gudjonsson – Guitar
Omar is the biggest up-and-coming guitar players in Iceland. He has been a solo artist and session player since 1997 and has played with the likes of Mezzoforte, GusGus, Larry Coriell, Jaguar, Carola and Morten Harket of ‘a-ha’.
Bernt Bodal – Bass
The godfather of ‘White Sox’, native-Norwegian Bernt Bodal founded and recorded three albums with the progressive rock band Høst in the 1970’s.
Bernt has been a US citizen for 23 years and is the Chairman and CEO of American Seafood’s Group, based in Seattle.
