A study conducted by PriceRunner.dk has shown Copenhagen to be the least expensive of the Scandinavian capitals, reports copcap.com.
PriceRunner, an internet service for product and price comparisons, has held an annual analysis of prices in 29 capitals worldwide for the past six years. In this year’s study, the prices of 26 consumption products were analysed based upon the average price in three different stores.
Copenhagen prices ranked 21% above the average, while other Scandinavian capitals had higher prices; Stockholm was 24% above average, and Oslo was 70% higher.
Oslo ranked as the most expensive capital in the entire study both this year and last, while London held its place at second most expensive. Paris moved from seventh to fourth place, and Copenhagen moved down from its third place spot to fifth this year.
