Iceland Express, a low-cost airline which offers flights between Iceland and Europe, was recently awarded the best e-commerce and service website in Iceland.
The prize was awarded by the Association of the Icelandic Internet Industry at its annual awards ceremony in Reykjavik. Iceland Express’ website was also a finalist in the category ‘Best look and user interface’.
The jury, which consisted of Icelandic professionals from the Internet industry, said the website was well designed, easy to navigate and very helpful for customers.
“Complicated matters are made easy to understand and the website is designed in a way that makes the customer always come first” said the jury’s statement.
Last year the budget airline received the Best Website award at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress which was held in London. The website was chosen because of its ‘clarity, creativity, design and its emphasis on simple and user-friendly booking process’.
Iceland Express flies to 14 destinations in Europe, including London, Barcelona, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
