The Cruise Europe Association, an organisation that promotes Europe as a world-class cruise destination, will hold its annual AGM and conference in the port of Klaipeda, Lithuania between 8 – 10 May 2008.
Under this year’s event banner “communicating with our customers”, the Cruise Europe event will explore the possibilities of using search engine marketing for the promotion of Europe as a cruise destination.
Kristjan Mar Hauksson, Director of Nordic eMarketing, an Icelandic-based Internet marketing company, has been invited to lead a workshop on search engine marketing. He will speak on using the Internet as a communications channel in the business environment and the development of the online travel industry.
At the workshop, Mr Hauksson will instruct attendees on search engine optimization, explaining how to improve rankings on search engines and how to make the most out of organic web presence. The session will also review website usability and why it matters, how search engine behaviour has changed and what the best way is for writing on the web.
