Air travellers in the county of Yorkshire in the UK will soon be able to fly to several Scandinavian capitals with bmi Regional. A code share agreement between Scandinavia’s main carrier, SAS, and bmi Regional allows the UK-based carrier to operate connections from Leeds-Bradford Airport to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
These new flights, which are set to begin on 1st September, will pass through Brussels on their way to Scandinavia. Up to three daily departures will be available, with more to follow if demand allows.
Peter Kenworthy, bmi Regional’s commercial director, believes the new routes will be an excellent addition to the existing services that are already in place between Scandinavia and the UK.
He added, “The agreement gives our passengers real flexibility when travelling and the timings of the flights allow passengers to combine a number of cities in their travel itinerary.”
With the range of connecting flights already offered through SAS, passengers from the Yorkshire area can easily reach other international destinations such as Paris, Madrid and even New York.
