PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CENTRAL BANK OF ICELAND:
Due to the extraordinary circumstances in banking today we have a reason to believe that some payments that should be directed from abroad to Icelandic banks are being halted on their way.
In order to secure payments to Icelandic banks, Seðlabanki Íslands (The Central Bank of Iceland) hereby guarantees that all payments that banks send through Seðlabanki for credit of local bank accounts, will reach the ultimate beneficiaries’ accounts with the local banks.
The following persons are able to provide further information:
Guðmundur Tómasson, email gkt@cb.is
Sigríður María Torfadóttir, email sigridur.m.torfadottir@cb.is
Very well that you are able to transfer money again to Iceland …… But look at the exchange rate ???? Who has decided that ??
In fact no one is making payments to Icelandic banks because they are not trusted to look after money.
Its only a matter of time before Icesavers boycott Icelandic products.
Return our money thieves.
