The Norwegian coastguard ordered an Icelandic trawler to the Norwegian port of Hammerfest under suspicion of false data in the captain’s log, Nordlys reported. The ship was not allowed to leave the port again until a fine was paid.
Norwegian media reported that the trawler had 50 – 60 tonnes of fish onboard, mostly cod. The ship was released yesterday afternoon after having paid 15 thousand Norwegian kronas (about 480 thousand Icelandic kronas; 1,650 EUR) immediately.
