From the Central Bank of Iceland:
The Prime Minister of Iceland has requested the Central Bank to assess the advantages and disadvantages of changing the monetary policy framework that has been applied in Iceland. The Central Bank has published a preliminary summary of this work and a detailed report is planned to be published before the end of the winter of 2009-2010.

Very nice ! especially if available online as the preliminary report !
My only question is why this report has not been ordered months ago ?

I don’t understand Balkanson’s comment. The PM has asked the Central Bank to produce a report on this topic, which is obviously the right thing to do so that informed decisions can be made. In the past, Haarde and Oddsson would just discuss monetary policy over a pint of beer (if even that) and then do something ignorant as a result.
The Prime Minister might come up with a report for successful gay pride in Iceland. But it seems that the economics it is not her superpower.
