The U.S. carrier, Frontier Airlines, announced last week that it has entered a partnership with Iceland’s flagship airline Icelandair, in order to offer its customers an extensive network across Europe and Scandinavia.
Frontier Airlines customers can now buy tickets from the U.S. to the dozens of European and Scandinavian destinations that Icelandair offers. In addition, Icelandair customers can buy tickets to U.S. destinations with Frontier Airlines.
With Frontier’s main hub at Denver International Airport, the partnership will take full effect when Icelandair begins its flight service to Denver in May 2012.
Frontier Airlines offers 500 daily flights to 80 destinations in the U.S., Mexico and Canada from Denver and other major cities such as Milwaukee and Kansas City.
Icelandair already offers flights from its main hub, Keflavik International Airport, in Iceland to the U.S. and Canadian cities of Boston, New York, Seattle, Washington, Minneapolis, Orlando, Toronto, and Halifax; Denver service begins in spring 2012.
