ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog is due to attend Stockholm Pride on 1 August, announced the festival’s organisers. The pop icon will make a guest appearance in Pride Park at Scandinavia’s biggest gay pride festival, where she will receive a Gold record in recognition of her latest album, A.
Stockholm Pride director Jörgen Eriksson said they are honoured that Agnetha Fältskog is attending the Stockholm Gay Pride Festival, adding that it will be a chance for those in attendance to pay tribute to her and her new, critically acclaimed album.
A, which was produced and recorded by producer/composer Peter Nordahl and producer/songwriter Jorgen Elofsson, is the singer’s first album in almost 10 years and her first original work for 25 years. Her latest single, Dance Your Pain Away, is the second to track to be released from the album.
Other musicians who will perform at this year’s event include Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest, Gina G, Ryan Dolan, Anton Ewald, Helena Paparizou, Janet Leon, Victor & The Blood, Kleerup. Margaret Berger, Jonas Gardell, Amanda Jensson and Lys Assia.
Stockholm Pride is a fun-filled festival that aims to strengthen the rights of the LGBTQ community in Sweden.
