One in every five Thai massage parlour in the Swedish city of Malmö offers a ‘happy ending’, according to Swedish daily Sydsvenskan. The news comes after the publication’s investigation into illegal prostitution in the country’s third largest city’s Thai massage parlours.
Police in Malmö also revealed that they receive tip-offs on a weekly basis but do not prioritise the issue.
The southwestern city has around 50 massage parlours, of which about 25 were contacted. The survey found that five of them accepted request for sexual gratification after the massage is complete.
Last week, one Thai masseuse living and working in Malmö spoke about her anger at customers constantly asking her about sex. She said that it makes her very angry to be asked about happy endings because she works hard and is proud of what she does.
However, not all masseuses in the city had the same attitude. When contacted by phone, one worker said that they offer happy endings, before inviting the Sydsvenskan correspondent in to check it out. However, she refused to say how much it would cost.
On an online site, customers write about Malmö’s best parlours. One revealed that a half-hour massage including a happy ending cost him 700 kroner.
When the newspaper went to the parlours, each worker insisted they didn’t offer sex.
