Landsmót, the popular biennial Icelandic National Horse Show, has announced that it will be streaming live online all of the events taking place over the eight-day show.
The competition will be taking place on two tracks: the Breeding Track, between 29th June and 4th July; and the Main Track, between 30th June and 6th July. Landsmót is offering an all-inclusive package in order to stream both tracks across the duration of the event.
Known as the prime event for showcasing the Icelandic Horse breed, Landsmót will be featuring various competitions and horse displays suitable for the whole family.
For those visiting the festival in person, the Landsmót area is transformed into a village featuring a large campsite, markets with a variety of goods, children’s playgrounds, and a number of Icelandic food vendors offering a wide variety of culinary choices.
The competition, which is the highlight of all Icelandic Horse competitions, will feature the strongest and highest ranking horses in “Gædingakeppni” (Icelandic riding horse competition), and in the “Tölt” competition. Top-level breeding horses (mares and stallions) will be shown, as well other entertainment in the form of music, dancing, and singing amongst an international crowd of horse enthusiasts.
The online streaming of the event is set to be popular amongst both horse lovers and equestrian organisations across the world. To find out more about the live streaming of the event and to see the schedule, visit http://www.landsmot.tv/en/
