“The acquisition of Proffice Aviation represents an important step for us in a long-term strategy of becoming a leading international player in airline crew management,” says Espen Høiby, CEO of OSM Aviation Group.
“Proffice Aviation is a very well-run organisation with 500 able employees in the Nordic region who will now become part of our company” says Espen Høiby as OSM Aviation today announced the acquisition of Proffice Group’s aviation business area.
Proffice Aviation has the bulk of its business in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, but is also represented in Norway. Over the past four years, it has been responsible for providing cabin crew to airline Norwegian. The company also has some assignments related to land-based transport services. Norwegian and OSM already have a collaboration in the UK, Spain and the USA, which will now be extended to include Sweden, Denmark and Finland. To ensure the greatest possible continuity for Norwegian and the workforce, Proffice Group has opted to sell all the shares in the various Proffice Aviation companies to OSM Aviation AS.
Following the acquisition, OSM Aviation – which has specialised in the employment and development of air crew – will have about 1 600 employees in 12 countries. Qualified cabin crew and pilots are permanently employed in the various countries where the company has bases. Working conditions and other terms for employees accord with the rules and agreements which apply for air crew in the respective countries. In addition to Norwegian, Finnair is also an OSM Aviation customer.
