WOW Air continues to grow and expand its number of low cost destinations. Most recently added to the list is Bristol, UK. Tickets have just gone on sale and flights will begin on May 13, 2016.
Once service commences, flights will take place three times weekly between Iceland and Bristol, all year round. Until now, travellers have had only one way to make this journey, on the British airline EasyJet. Now WOW Air will offer a second option.
Passengers will fly into Bristol Airport (BRS), which is currently under construction with a £24 million (approximately 4.8 billion ISK) budget to expand its capacity to accommodate an estimated ten million customers a year by 2016.
Bristol is located in southwest England and is the UK’s eight most populous city with roughly 450,000 inhabitants. This year it became the first British city to earn the European Green Capital Award, which recognizes cities for exhibiting environmental awareness.
