Immigrants who will not or cannot integrate effectively into Danish society are set to receive a handout, if they are willing to leave for home.
The Danish People’s Party’s (DF) stance on immigration has been further strengthened with the arrangement which will see foreigners deemed ‘anti-social’ paid DKK 100,000 to depart the country. The proposal is part of the DF’s budget negotiations with the government and has been agreed upon by both parties according to The Copenhagen Post.
Under the scheme, the handout for repatriation would take over from a similar scheme currently offering up to DKK 28,256 to refugees and those in the country for family reunification purposes to go home. Half of the current bonus is normally paid to departing refugees 12 months after their return home and upon expiry of their Danish residency rights. The new legislation means a foreigner returning home will be paid the DKK 100,000 bonus immediately upon their return and formal renouncing of residency rights.
The term ‘anti-social’ has not yet been defined by the DF or the government other than to say that the programme is aimed towards those foreigners that ‘can’t or won’t integrate’.
Pia Kjaersgaard, the DF party leader, said the agreement would save substantial sums of money in costs which are currently absorbed by regional and local councils. “Society will save a lot on an immense number of charges and problems. We already know that there are problems with nursing homes and have been problems with hospitals and health charges,” Kjaersgaard stated.
Local councils will be provided access to a pool of some DKK 20 million which can be used as motivation for foreign returnees and will receive a full refund on any repatriation costs as opposed to the existing 75 percent payment.
The DF has also managed to secure additional measures to tackle immigration, including a DKK 10 million budget for new scanners at Danish border control points that can improve passport control through accessing Interpol databases for fraudulent documents.
Danish opposition parties are unimpressed by the new agreement which they claim sends a clear message to foreigners that they are not welcome in Denmark.
My discussion does’t mean Danes and foreigners are good or bad but they both are different with different back ground so both need to understand each other must learn to live together.
I think integration problem in Denmark is not widely with foreigners but Danes.
Foreigners with other foreigners mix up very quickly but Danes shy to mingle with other communities (they are proud of being Danish and forget that these foreigners came to 60s and worked to improve the economy and these are same immigrants coming today to help develop economy).
Yes many are good and some get bad due to ill treatment in the society.
they need attention rather detention (of kicking them out of country).
Too bad we can’t incentivise a number of our own ethnic Danish nationals to leave Denmark (e.g. the leadership of the Dansk Folkeparti).
SO THEY GET LIKE 30.000 EUROS AND GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES. AND THEN THEY JUST COME BACK ILLEGALLY AND KEEP WORKING… SPECIALLY CHINESE…
And what are your border control agencies for? Harassing the legal immigrants, and letting go all the illegal ones? Perhaps they need them! Otherwise who is going to do all the dirty jobs for the civilized people of the EUROPE. And of course, they are cheap, because they are illegal. Even after they manage to sneak in, is it that difficult to nab them and send them back? Now do not repeat the bull**** that they are not doing so on humanitarian grounds. It is not true! There are recent examples of how EUROPE is treating asylum seekers.
And I wonder why especially Chinese immigrants manage to sneak in. Why is it more difficult for afghans for example? Imagine the situation if there were as many illegal immigrants with links to terrorist organizations as there are Chinese. So it is clear that the authorities are able to stop those people who they absolutely do not want in. Does this not point to the fact that, perhaps they need those illegal immigrants? If not, just tighten your borders, and stop complaining.

For the first time i totally agree with Sir Euro’s comment. This “handout” is worthless, will not improve integration neither fight illegal immigration.Just a little X-mas present to the Danish taxpayer.
WELL, SPAIN HAS BEEN PAYING FOR YEARS ALL THE UNEMPLOYMENT PENSION FOR UP TO TWO YEARS TO INMIGRANTS IT THEY PROMISE TO LEAVE AND NOT COME BACK IN MANY YEARS.
SO THEY GET LIKE 30.000 EUROS AND GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES. AND THEN THEY JUST COME BACK ILLEGALLY AND KEEP WORKING… SPECIALLY CHINESE…
SO IT DOES NOT WORK THIS THING OF GIVING THEM MONEY, IT IS NOT WORTHY.. AND IT IS JUST THROWING MONEY AWAY.
I THINK ALL THE INMIGRANTS THAT ARE COMING TO EUROPE ARE LAUGHING AT HOW STUPID WE EUROPEANS ARE… WITH OUR STUPID LAWS.
ICELAND IS MORE LUCKY, BECAUSE WHEN AN EU WORKER GOES BACK HOME THEY DON´T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PENSION, JUST UP TO 3 MONTHS, AND THEN IS THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN PAYING, AND THE SAME FOR ICELANDERS.. SO IT IS MUTUAL BENEFIT. BUT FOREIGNERS FROM OUTSIDE EU AND THE SHENGEN AREA…
If you’re an immigrant thinking of leaving Denmark, remember to first become anti-social so the government will give you a leaving bonus. Does the government provide any advice on qualifying anti-social behaviours? A leaflet listing suitable activities (vandalism, graffitti, etc) may be useful.
The danes finaly coming to their senses, unfortunety its to late for Britain and Sweden to do this because they dont have the funds needed for this, i wonder why the governments of those countries decided to open up the borders like this regardless of the problems this would so obviously create.
