Iceland Express was awarded the ‘Best Website Award’ at the recent World Low Cost Airline Congress 2007.
Iceland Express was launched in February 2003 and offers passengers the chance to book cheap flight tickets to Iceland through a website that is extremely user friendly. In addition to flight and fare information, the Icelandic Express website also features a number of useful facts and travel information.
Matthias Imsland, the managing director for Iceland Express, said: “We really appreciate this award. We are a small airline without the vast resources of giant low cost carriers, such a EasyJet, so we have to do everything well. We knew that our on-board service was good and the fast track security procedure at Stansted has made a great difference to our passengers London airport experience, but this award also confirms that we are getting it right from the very first time a passenger comes into contact with us.”
Iceland Express is based in Reykjavik and flies to thirteen airports in Scandinavia, Switzerland, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Germany. Within Iceland, the airline flies to Akureyri in the north and Egilsstadir in the east.
