Iceland’s leading airline Icelandair has recently announced that will be increasing its flights to Glasgow, Scotland, from its U.S. and Canadian gateways, starting early next year.
Icelandair will increase scheduled service to Glasgow with an additional flight per week on Fridays, beginning 15th March 2013. With the addition of the Friday flights to Glasgow, passengers will be able to access Scotland via Icelandair four times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The additional flights to Glasgow will offer a convenient flight path via Iceland from Icelandair’s North American gateways including New York, Boston, Seattle, Toronto and Halifax to Scotland. Icelandair also offers passengers travelling to the UK one of the quickest flights to Glasgow, with an additional opportunity to stopover in Iceland.
This year, Icelandair celebrates 75 years of aviation and offers service to Iceland from Boston, New York-JFK, Denver and Seattle with seasonal service from Minneapolis – St. Paul, Washington, D.C., Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto. Connections through Icelandair’s hub at Keflavik International Airport are available to over 20 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe. Only Icelandair allows passengers to stopover in Iceland at no additional airfare.
