Iceland Express adds Warsaw to destination list

It will soon be easy for people in Poland to travel to Iceland after Iceland Express added Warsaw to the list of destinations it will fly to next summer. Warsaw is the Icelandic airline’s second addition this year, after Barcelona was added in the autumn.

In a press release, CEO Matthias Imsland, said: “It is pleasing to be able to add destinations in Europe to our list for yet another year. Our goal is to further increase competition in the aviation market and make it easier for the public to travel abroad. The acceptance indicates that we on the right track.”

2008 will also see the airline celebrate its fifth anniversary. Next summer, Iceland Express also plans to offer direct flights from two regional towns in Iceland to Copenhagen; Akureyri in the north and Egilsstadir in the east.

Iceland Express is based at Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik and offers flights to 15 European cities.
