Denmark announces new Minister Counsellor for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in China

Danish authorities have announced that Sonja Canger has been appointed as Denmark’s new Minister Counsellor for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries at the Danish Embassy in China.

As part of her new role, Canger will collaborate with the Food, Agriculture and Fisheries team across the Danish representations in China, while also engaging with Danish and Chinese stakeholders.

Her responsibilities will include promoting Danish interests in the Chinese market and contributing to the continued development of partnerships between Danish and Chinese organisations in the food and agriculture sectors.

Canger has expressed her enthusiasm for supporting Danish exports to China and further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of food, agriculture and fisheries.

Her appointment comes as Denmark continues to prioritise and expand cooperation with China across key sectors, including food production, agriculture and fisheries.
