SAS Scandinavian Airlines recently announced the winners of its Arctic Experience online competition. According to the Dubai Times, Scandinavia’s leading carrier recently offered participants the chance to win a trip for two to the Arctic through their website.
Shernaz Sanjana was announced as the lucky winner and will spend a total of six days in the arctic. The trip includes a stop-over in the Norwegian capital, Oslo. In Oslo, Sanjana will stay at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel.
The trip will also offer Sanjana a unique opportunity to spend time on the island of Spitsbergen. Located 1,333 kilometers off the coast in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, Spitsbergen experiences four months of total darkness every year, as well as four months of unbelievable 24-hour sunshine. The island is famous for its beautiful scenery.
According to Magnus Engstrom, General Manager UAE, SAS Airlines, “The competition attracted over 2,000 participants in the UAE alone this year, allowing online visitors a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the Arctic.”
SAS Airlines is currently the fourth largest airline in Northern Europe and is the multi-national airline for Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Each year, the airline transports approximately 1.4 million passengers to destinations around the world including London, Tokyo, Dubai, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
